Getting Started at Your Church
North Point Community Church (NPCC) started in 1996 and began hosting a
Starting Point environment in 1998. Initially, we utilized a different
curriculum, but in 2001 we wrote and published the first version of
Starting Point materials. Since then, NPCC has grown and added other
campuses and strategic partners as part of North Point Ministries. In
2005, we began revising the materials and officially published a new
version of the Starting Point materials in May 2006. Hundreds of
churches across the world are currently hosting Starting Point groups.

Starting Point Starter Kit
To assist you in the process of launching Starting Point at your
church, we have produced a Starting Point Starter Kit for pastors and
church leaders. This kit contains numerous helpful elements:
- A Starting Point Conversation Guide and Media Kit
- A Starter Guide that describes all of the processes that we use at
North Point Ministries to administer groups and equip leaders
- A DVD of training content to orient leaders to the Starting Point environment
- An interactive CD that contains the Starting Point Leader Notes,
pictures of the Starting Point environment at NPCC, the Starting Point
logo, video promotional ads, and virtually every document related to
Starting Point that we use behind the scenes
